Keeping Children Safe, Active and Connected This School Holiday

For many children, school holidays are a chance to rest, play and spend time with friends. But for many families in the communities we serve, the school break can also mean long days without structure, fewer safe spaces to gather, and increased vulnerability.

That is why our Holiday Programme is so important.

Throughout the school holidays, YeBoneers create fun, inclusive and safe environments where children can learn, play and connect. From sports and games to creative activities and life skills sessions, every day is designed to keep young people engaged while fostering confidence, teamwork and a sense of belonging.

Our holiday programmes are led by our passionate young community leaders, our YeBoneers who understand the needs of the children they serve. They bring energy, creativity and care to every activity, showing that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but powerful changemakers today.

When communities come together to create safe spaces during the school holidays, they help protect children from harm while opening the door to positive experiences that can shape their future.

As our YeBoneers continue to make an impact this holiday, we celebrate their commitment to building communities where every child has the opportunity to thrive, both during the school term and beyond.
