The Academy leverages the experience and lessons from over 50 organisations involved in youth work over the last 10 years through YearBeyond. It aims to build the capacity of the sector and at the same time strengthen the Community of Practice between organisations working with youth.

The YeBo Academy is the training arm of YearBeyond. The Academy leverages YearBeyond’s experience and offers a series of short courses to the sector. These  empower professionals by offering practical, hands-on learning interventions. The YeBo Academy short courses are specifically designed to build confidence and enhance skills of practitioners working with youth.

  • Training and Facilitation Short Course

    Equipping social impact practitioners with practical training and facilitation skills grounded in experiential and adult learning principles. Participants develop the confidence and care needed to manage group dynamics effectively while designing inclusive, engaging learning spaces. The focus is on creating meaningful and impactful training experiences that inspire real change within communities.

  • Quality Assurance

    An introduction to practical quality assurance approaches for community-based programmes, equipping practitioners to apply QA principles across all aspects of their work. Participants explore accessible tools and reporting systems that strengthen consistency, accountability, and day-to-day practice. The course positions quality assurance as an ongoing process of continuous improvement, supported through reflective and developmental conversations.

  • Coaching in Context Short Course

    This short course equips managers, mentors, and leaders with practical coaching skills to guide young people’s growth and development. Participants learn how to foster independent learning, build positive developmental relationships, and lead structured coaching conversations. The focus is on creating a coaching culture that inspires accountability, deep understanding, and empowers youth to reach their full potential.
