YearBeyond Bana Pele Registration Drive

About the YearBeyond Bana Pele Registration Drive

The YearBeyond Bana Pele Registration Drive is a national effort to register Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres on the new E-Cares digital system. The drive aims to map and support more than 20,000 ECD centres across South Africa. This programme places YeBoneers in libraries who are at the heart of the process. They will be helping ECD center’s get registered, mapped, and recognised in their community.

What do YeBoneers do?

As a YeBoneer in the Bana Pele Registration Drive, your role will include (among other activities):

  • Register ECD Centres: Capture details of centres on the E-Cares system, both at the library and during outreach visits in the community.

  • Assist Centre Representatives: Guide them step-by-step through the digital survey and upload required information.

  • Categorise Centres: Record whether each centre meets Bronze, Silver, or Gold criteria based on their submitted details.

  • Host Registration Events: Work with librarians to plan and run sign-up days that welcome ECD operators from the community.

  • Support National Mapping: Help ensure every ECD centre in your area is recorded, so no community is left behind.
